P.O.D. zagrali w Progresji!
18 kwietnia w warszawskiej Progresji odbył się długo wyczekiwany koncert zespołu P.O.D. Publiczność miała okazję usłyszeć na żywo takie hity jak “Alive”, “Youth of the Nation”, “Southdown” oraz wiele innych utworów z bogatego katalogu Amerykanów.
Zespół P.O.D. (Payable on Death), który powstał na początku lat 90. w kalifornijskim San Diego, od samego początku budował swój styl na połączeniu metalu, rocka i rapu. Przełom w ich karierze nastąpił w 1999 roku, gdy wydali swój trzeci album “The Fundamental Elements of Southdown”, który pokrył się platyną. Dzięki takim singlom jak “Southdown” i “Rock the Party” zespół zdobył rozgłos, a dwa lata później umocnił swoją pozycję krążkiem “Satellite”. Utwory “Alive” i “Youth of the Nation” w 2001 roku biły rekordy popularności w MTV i do dziś cieszą się dużą rotacją w stacjach radiowych.
Na przełomie mileniów P.O.D. odnaleźli swój styl, który konsekwentnie rozwijali przez kolejne lata. Potwierdzeniem ich artystycznej ciągłości i chęci przekraczania granic była płyta “Veritas”, która ukazała się w maju ubiegłego roku. Zespół ugruntował swoją pozycję dzięki licznym koncertom – występowali m.in. na Ozzfeście, Download Festival, a także dzielili scenę z takimi gigantami jak Metallica, Slayer, Tool czy Deftones.
Ich koncert w Progresji był pełen energii, mocnych riffów i wielkich refrenów – dokładnie tego, czego oczekiwali fani. To był wieczór, który na długo pozostanie w pamięci!
On April 18th, the long-awaited concert of P.O.D. took place at Warsaw’s Progresja. The audience had the chance to hear live performances of hits like “Alive,” “Youth of the Nation,” “Southdown,” and many other tracks from the Americans’ rich catalog.
P.O.D. (Payable on Death), formed in the early '90s in San Diego, California, has built its signature sound from the start by blending metal, rock, and rap. A breakthrough in their career came in 1999 with the release of their third album The Fundamental Elements of Southtown, which went platinum. Thanks to singles like “Southtown” and “Rock the Party,” the band gained widespread recognition, further solidified two years later by the album Satellite. Tracks such as “Alive” and “Youth of the Nation” topped MTV charts in 2001 and still enjoy regular airplay on radio stations today.
At the turn of the millennium, P.O.D. found their style, which they have continued to develop over the years. Their creative consistency and willingness to push boundaries were confirmed by the release of Veritas in May of last year. The band has cemented their reputation through relentless touring – performing at festivals like Ozzfest and Download Festival, and sharing the stage with giants like Metallica, Slayer, Tool, and Deftones.
Their concert at Progresja was full of energy, heavy riffs, and massive choruses – exactly what fans came for. It was a night to remember!
